যাকাত | Jakat

যাকাত শব্দের অর্থ যা পরিশুদ্ধকর, এটি হলো ইসলাম র্ধমরে পঞ্চস্তম্ভবের একটি । প্রত্যকে স্বাধীন, র্পূণবয়স্ক মুসলমান নর-নারীকে প্রতি বছর স্বীয আয় ও সম্পত্তির একটি নির্দিষ্ট অংশ, ইসলামী শরিয়ত নির্ধারিত সীমা (নিসাব পরিমাণ) অতিক্রম করে তবে তা গরীব-দুঃস্থদরে মধ্যে বিতরণের নিয়মকে যাকাত বলা হয়।

ইসলামে সর্বাধিক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও অপরিহার্য ইবাদত হল সালাত ও যাকাত। কুরআন মজীদে বহু স্থানে সালাত-যাকাতের আদেশ করা হয়েছে এবং আল্লাহর অনুগত বান্দাদের জন্য অশেষ সওয়াব, রহমত ও মাগফিরাতের পাশাপাশি আত্মশুদ্ধিরও প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়া হয়েছে। এক আয়াতে ইরশাদ হয়েছে: ‘তোমরা সালাত আদায় কর এবং যাকাত প্রদান কর। তোমরা যে উত্তম কাজ নিজেদের জন্য অগ্রে প্রেরণ করবে তা আল্লাহর নিকটে পাবে। নিশ্চয়ই তোমরা যা কর আল্লাহ তা দেখছেন। -সূরা বাকারা : ১১০

Jakat is one of the pillar of islam among five.
Zakat refers to an annual donation to charity that is required by Islamic law. The grounds of this donation apply to all disposable income, qualifying property, and other assets. Within the Five Pillars of Islam, Zakat is the third.

Zakat is a mandatory charitable donation that applies to all adult Muslims who meet the Nisab threshold. It is the third Pillar of Islam and refers to the obligatory donation to charity expected of every qualifying Mulsim, as opposed to an act of voluntary generosity through Sadaqah. There are certain regulations surrounding who is allowed to benefit from Zakat donations.

Allaah says:
“And establish prayer and give zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah.” (2:110, Qur’an)
