জাহান্নাম | Jahannam

জাহান্নাম হল কাফিরদের জন্য স্থায়ী আবাসস্থল।
পৃথিবীতে মানুষ যে ধরনের কর্ম করবে পরকালে সে ধরনের ফল পাবে। কেউ ভালো কাজ করলে তার চূড়ান্ত পুরস্কার হবে স্বপ্নের জান্নাত। আর যে গুনাহ করবে তার শেষ ঠিকানা হবে জাহান্নাম। কথায় আছে যেমন কর্ম তেমন ফল। জান্নাতের অফুরন্ত নেয়ামত সম্পর্কে আমরা অনেকে জানি। কিন্তু জাহান্নামের ভয়াবহতা সম্পর্কে তেমন আলোচনা করি না, তাই জানিও না। রাসূলুল্লাহ সা. সাহাবায়ে কেরামের নিকট জান্নাতের আলোচনার পাশাপাশি জাহান্নামের ভয়াবহতা নিয়েও আলোচনা করতেন।
জাহান্নামের শাস্তি দুনিয়ার শাস্তি থেকে কোটি কোটি গুণ বেশি হবে। গুনাহের তারতম্যের কারণে শাস্তিও বেশ কম হবে। প্রিয়নবি সা. ইরশাদ করেন, জাহান্নামিদের মধ্যে কোনো কোনো লোক এমন থাকবে যে, জাহান্নামের আগুন তার পায়ের টাখনু পর্যন্ত পৌঁছবে। কারো হাঁটু পর্যন্ত পৌঁছবে। কারো কোমর পর্যন্ত আবার কারো গর্দান পর্যন্ত পৌঁছবে। অর্থাৎ যার গুনাহ বেশি তার সাজা বেশি। যার গুনাহ কম তার শাস্তিও কম। (মেশকাতুল মাসাবিহ:৫৬৫৯)।
দুনিয়ার আগুন শরীরের শুধু বাহ্যিক অঙ্গ পুড়াতে পারে। পুড়াতে পারে না তা অভ্যন্তরীণ অঙ্গ। কিন্তু জাহান্নামের আগুনের এমন পাওয়ার থাকবে যা জাহান্নামিদের শরীর পুড়ানোর পাশাপাশি তাদের হৃদপিÐও পুড়িয়ে ছাইছাই করে ফেলবে। আল্লাহ তায়ালা বলেন,এটি আল্লাহর প্রজ্জ্বলিত অগ্নি,যা তাদের হৃদয়কে গ্রাস করে ফেলবে। (সূরা হুমাযা:৬-৭)

Jahannam or Hell is a place made by Allah to punish evildoers in the afterlife. The concept of levels in Jahannam is based on the weight of the sins committed by the sinner. Muslims believe that there are seven levels of Jahannam, just like seven levels of heaven. These are also referred to as the gates to hell and are associated with different kinds of punishments that are both physical and spiritual in nature.
Allaah says:
لها سبعة أبواب لكل باب منه جزء مقسوم
“Indeed the hell fire is the dwelling place of them all. It has seven gates and within each gate there is an appropriate punishment for each inhabitant…” (Hijr: 44)
