About this app

The App focuses on the Indian and Global users who want to learn the basic and advanced concepts of Indian(Hindustani) music and enhance their singing and music instrument playing skills. Depicting Sargam (sa re ga ma...), the Indian version of Solfege, on the graph chart accurately, while capturing the voice of the singer. The App allows the performer to set its own scale and converts the same from western scale to Indian Sargam. It helps users improve their singing by perfecting their pitch enabling them to hit the notes with absolute accuracy going down to the microtone(Shruti, as it is called in Hindustani Music). It helps students who want to practice for hours but do not have the privilege of having their teacher(guru) by their side for that much time. It helps them analyse very closely on a real-time basis on where they went off the pitch either on a steady note(SUR) or while performing a TAAN(rapid note transitions) or a song. Supported by extensive video tutorials along with concepts of Indian Riyaz system.

Who is it for exactly?

This is meant for beginners, intermediate and advanced music students and even professionals to do course correction and attain independence in their daily riyaz(practice) and also while rehearsing for songs to know where they are going wrong or not hitting the pitch and notes perfectly.

Even singers of western music can make use of this if they switch off the Indian SARGAM feature.

Features:
Note pitch shown as a note and in a graphical form.

When the performer hits the pitch on the note within 10 cents of the note the colour turns green.

If the performer hits a pitch higher than the appropriate note then the colour shown is orange and if the pitch is lower than the appropriate pitch, the colour is yellow. The imperfection is also depicted in cents.

The performer can set his own scale(Sa- of hindustani music) - or the tonic note. The vertical(Y axis) scale turns into the hindustani SARGAM when tapped in the extreme right side of the screen. The tonic note is depicted in a red colour.

The performer can record his performance for a maximum of 6 minutes and review it by playing it back.

From beginner to an advanced proponent of Hindustani music - This app helps all.

Thank you Sir. The app is like a virtual guide to so many students. Also people like me who never sang before have developed an interest in singing just because of the simplicity of the app. Kudos to the entire team and God bless the guru who visualised the concept and developed the app. Appreciate your knowledge about music, technology, the pains taken to record and edit videos and much more, for all the learners of Indian Classical music. šŸ™

First of all a big thank you to the Team for bringing this idea of a notation tracking into reality, this app is like a virtual guide to the beginners during Riya session. Sound tracking is very accurate and the graph UI is easy to read. So big thumbs up šŸ‘šŸ˜Ž from my side.

Superb app! Just one liiitle bug: 1.) The app refreshes the screen every other time its opened, so I have to re- zoom in every time I switch from a piano app to Swar Alap. It would be next level to be able to shift the tuning, for ex from the standard 440hz.
