About this app

OpeNoise is a real-time noise level meter.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
- Real-time A-weighted sound pressure level measurement
- Minimum and maximum level
- Third octave and FFT analysis
- Data saving in text file
- Calibration

TERM OF USE
This app is not intended for professional use, it does not necessarily guarantee an accurate noise measurement.
Since each device has a different response to noise, a comparison with a professional noise level meter in the measurement dynamic range is required.
The utilization of the app requires adequate technical knowledge and skill; an extemporary measurement might not be correct.

If "Save Lzeq 1/3 octaves levels" and "Save Lzmin 1/3 octaves levels" are checked before the start of the test. The recorded data will be very long. When you open the recorded txt file in the app, when a row of data is too long, I think it is best not to enable automatic word wrapping on the narrow screen of the mobile phone.

Thank you for the suggestion. We can try to include a button to customise the visualisation in the next versions. Remember that the app viewer is very simple and an external programme is better to manage and control the data, especially for long files.

This app is brilliant, the best by far! It is the only one I have found that can display dB(A) and not just dB(Z). The wide choice of display options is greatly appreciated. I see a lot of people leaving negative reviews on here complaining about the need for calibration, ALL APPS NEED CALIBRATION if they claim otherwise, they are lying! My only wish is to be able to create custom LAeq times as seeing 3, 5, or 15min averages is very valuable! If you need a sound level app, this is it. 5 starts!

Thank you very much! The custom LAeq times value is not actually in our develop plane but we will think it.

It works as advertised. This is an all-around good app, and there's not much more to say. Negative sides: You most likely need to calibrate it to the ambient sound level. Positive sides: It's surprisingly versatile, it can be calibrated, and it does indeed graph sound volumes.
