Frost is one of the most frequent causes of destruction of plant production and in some cases even plant capital.

By frost we define the drop in air temperature to a value equal to or less than zero degrees Celsius (0°C).

As long as there is early warning the frost can be dealt with resulting in the damage being limited or even eliminated.

This application was designed and developed by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food with the aim of providing all the necessary information that will allow the Farmers of the country to deal with upcoming frost events in time. The information concerns the forecast-warning of frost, at the geographical level of a municipality, for the next three days. Through the options "Account" and then "my Municipalities" it is possible to select the municipalities of interest for which frost warnings will be presented on the home page of the application. At the same time as the warnings are issued, messages are sent both to the mobile phone and to the e-mail address that has been declared. The app is updated twice a day.
