The prayers that make up the rosary are organized into sets of ten Hail Marys, called decades. Each decade is preceded by a Lord's Prayer and followed by a Glory Be. During the recitation of each set, one of the mysteries of the Rosary is evoked, which recalls the events of the life of Jesus and Mary. Five decades are recited by rosary. Other prayers are sometimes added before or after each decade. Rosary beads are an aid in saying these prayers in the proper sequence.

The rosary is started on the short strand:

The sign of the cross on the crucifix;
The prayer "O Lord, open my lips; O God, come to my aid; O Lord, hasten to help me", always on the crucifix;
The creed of the apostles, still on the crucifix;
The Lord's Prayer to the First Great Pearl (for the intentions of the pope and the needs of the Church);
Hail Mary on each of the following three beads (for the three theological virtues: faith, hope and charity); and
The Glory Be on the next big pearl.
The Decades Prayer then follows, repeating this cycle for each mystery:

Announce the mystery.
The Lord's Prayer on the large pearl;
The Ave Maria on each of the ten adjacent small beads;
The Glory Be on the space before the next big bead; and
To conclude:

The Salve Regina;
The Loreto Litanies;
Any other intention; and
The sign of the cross

The Rosary Mysteries are meditations on episodes in the life and death of Jesus from the Annunciation to the Ascension and beyond, called the Joyful (or Happy) Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries and Glorious Mysteries. Each of these mysteries contemplates five different stages of the life of Christ.

Joyful Mysteries
Sorrowful Mysteries
Glorious Mysteries
Luminous Mysteries

The 15 promises fall into the category of "private revelation" and as such constitute a pious tradition that a person is free to believe or not to believe.

Whoever serves me faithfully by reciting the Rosary will receive signal graces.
I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all who will recite the Rosary.
The rosary will be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, diminish sin and overcome heresies.
It will make virtue and good works prosper; he will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; he will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities and will urge them to desire eternal things. Oh, that souls will be sanctified by this means.
The soul that commends me by reciting the rosary will not perish.
Whoever recite the Rosary with devotion, applying themselves to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, will never be defeated and will never be overwhelmed by misfortune. God will not chastise him in his justice, he will not perish by an unannounced death (unprepared for heaven). The sinner must convert. The righteous will grow in grace and become worthy of eternal life.
Anyone who has a true devotion to the Rosary will not die without the sacraments of the Church.
Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary will have, during their life and at their death, the light of God and the fullness of his graces; at the time of death, they will participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
I will deliver from purgatory those who have been consecrated to the Rosary.

The Rosary helps. This app definitely enhances the time taken to pray. The reflections on the Mysteries and how they relate to my ljfe are well thought. I think you will be able to find this app in many languages. I find additional comfort with the cadence of my mother tongue.

Very prayerfully done and meditative. Brings me back to the rosaries of my youth that were done with my mom, especially those before bedtime.

Love saying the Rosary in French with this app but the music is much too loud and is very annoying. Please update and turn the music down! Thank you!
