About this game

It’s never been easier to get into a game of Mexican Train Dominoes! With over a million players enjoying this game on phones, tablets and online, you’ll find that our classic domino board game looks beautiful and is delightful to play. Learn the game’s strategy by playing on four difficulty levels that provide a fun game for both new and experienced players. You can also select the length of the game, enjoying a short game when you have a spare few minutes or a longer game when you’ve got more time to yourself.

If you’re completely new or enjoy something different like Texas 42 you'll find it easy to learn with our quick tutorial. For this family favorite we've tried to make the game a joy to play with simple controls, one interactive screen, and stunning audio-visual themes. Attractive animated backgrounds add to the pleasing ambience for an even more relaxing play environment. Naturally it's possible to also play Mexican Train with a simpler background if you’d prefer.

The rules are easy to follow, being derived from classic Block, All Fives and Chickenfoot variations. Place dominoes that connect and match the last domino on any open 'train'. If you can't move, then draw another tile. If you put down a double, then all the other trains are blocked and the next player must cover that tile. When a player gets rid of their hand they win the round, and everyone’s scores are added up. Once all the rounds are finished, the winner (hopefully you!) is the player with the lowest number of points.

Dominos Features:
- 3 player (like Triominos!) and 4 player game modes played against the multiplayer computer.
- Three fun game types - Blitz, Short and Full for quick and longer games.
- 6 different backgrounds with their own family friendly ambience to play on.
- Plenty of space to puzzle over and arrange your hand.
- Scroll along previous moves for superior visibility and to see potential blocks.
- Animated game rules tutorial.
- Optional Advanced opponents for a pro challenge.
- Options to change the house rules of the game.
- All games are saved as you play, come back whenever you like.
- Simple controls - drop and draw dominoes with ease!

First off WAY too many ads after each round! Second, no option for 2 player modes or any option to create a room and play with friends. Only pass and play. Even then, they make you play with a third person. It has potential, but there are better options out there. STOP HAVING ADS AFTER EVERY ROUND! IT'S SO ANNOYING!! I don't care if they make you money. I want to play the game, not watch stupid ads that are irrelevant!

I would have given this app 4 stars before the upgrade. Now, I hate it. Like everyone is saying, portrait view is more difficult to work with(make it rotate). Its super hard to flip the doms to make trains. The brighter theme is nice, but you killed everything else. UPDATE: Changing to 3 stars because it looks like they fixed the input issue and dominoes are flipping easier. Still dont like the portrait layout. Flip or settings option would be nice

Hi, please rest assured that we have not taken away the domino flipping function. There seems to be an issue with input functions on certain devices. Our team is currently investigating & we hope to have a resolution very soon. Please contact us at mexicantrainandroid@glowingeyegames.com if you'd like to discuss your further concerns.

Enjoyed this app for years. HATE the new version! I preferred the horizontal orientation (or at least give an option). The tiles don't flip easily when organizing them. The "pass" button is in an inconvenient place. I dont like the hints or prompts for each move... I prefer to figure it out myself. I also don't care for the new, more pastel dot colors. Wish it all had been left alone. Will probably delete app.

We're sorry to hear that you dislike the new version. You can still turn off the hints and prompts by going to the Options menu and checking off Reduce Player Speech and Reduce Help Text. Hints can be turned off by unchecking Auto Hint. If you have any questions or any other feedback, e-mail us at mexicantraindominoesgoldandroid@glowingeyegames.com
