Fun game. Play enough and you develop a strategy that allows you to win however every so often a level might add an extra player or asymmetric design which makes you have to think a little bit more. Once you get far enough, the levels start repeating and you start replaying ones you already have done which is disappointing but I suppose you can only make so many levels.

It seems like in this era of the play store, there's two types of games: the ones that try to give you a full game, and the ones that throw as many ads at you as possible. Having reached level 300, MicroWars is definitely the second type. What's so frustrating is how close they were to a great game. The concept is pure, the gameplay itself is well executed. But they stopped short. Levels repeat every 40-ish, and there's a lack of polish around the edges that become obvious with repetition.

So, it is a pleasant app. It has a ton of ads and very limited content though. I paid to remove ads, and all the game is is the same 40 or so levels on repeat with a sight increase in difficulty over time. It only took a few hours to unlock everything and now the game is pretty much complete. I definitely would like to see new levels, new modes, and new unlockables.
