About this game

From the minds of Avenged Sevenfold comes Hail to the King: Deathbat, a 3rd person, overhead dungeon crawler action RPG. The game’s story is based on the mythical origin of the Deathbat, Avenged Sevenfold’s logo and mascot. The game’s design is not for the faint of heart as players will need to traverse massive levels, combat skillful undead, and best unforgiving bosses. The epic story follows Andronikos, the resurrected King of the Underworld and the embodiment of the Deathbat, who is tasked with reclaiming the lands of Haides from the despotic Dark Andronikos. Along the way you’ll mix and match brutal melee combat with projectile magic attacks battling through beautifully designed and hellish landscapes inspired by the band’s iconic discography and artwork. Interact with characters along the way to solve puzzles and unlock the mysteries of Moros Island.

Hail to the King: Deathbat features classic Avenged Sevenfold tracks along with a new and original score, composed by the band in the immortal tradition of 8-bit masterpieces like Castlevania.

The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal in this game. 4.4/5" - PocketMeta Review

I love it, a great way to pass time if needed. A little gem for any Avenged Sevenfold fan, young or old. Not sold on it? It's a nice walk down memory lane for adults who grew up on the classics. Ah, nostalgia :) The Rev's inclusion is like greeting an dearly missed friend again Little tip: Having issues with sound dropping out or sticking/unresponsive controls, you have to do the modern equivalent of the cartridge trick from the 90's and 00's (uninstall and reinstall then you're good as gold.)

Admirable customer service!! I played the game for free, was able to progress to the 2nd world for free while waiting for my purchase to be restored. I woke up the next day to my purchase being restored! You can play this game for free. Just click X and press no thank you buttons. I feel like a lot of people have deleted this game because of GameClub and that's very sad since you can still play it! You can also buy this game on steam for the PC if that helps. LOL

I bought this game when it first came out, bought all the characters, and beat it. I loved it bc it was a good game but I also loved the band that developed it. So to come back years later and see you have too have a subscription to play is extremely disappointing. I would rather buy it once and have it be my decision to buy the characters, not pay for it every month.
