About this app

Designed for:
- Training vocal projection
- Practicing pronunciation at language learning
- Practicing for casting
- Testing headphones
- Recording with audio monitoring
- Recording multiple takes with quick replay of last recorded segment
- Anything else you might want to do with given feature set :)

NOT suitable for:
- Use as a singing microphone with loudspeakers
- Use as an interface with near-zero latency
because
* It is not possible to completely remove the latency on Android devices
* The microphones are typically omnidirectional and pick voices from surrounding, thus leading to loud feedback loop if using loudspeakers

Feature set:
- Output from microphone to speakers or headphones (monitoring)
- Custom delay on monitoring
- Audio recording in compressed or uncompressed format
- Quick replay of the latest recorded file
- Quick sharing of the latest recorded file

Notes:
- When monitoring, you need to make sure, the mic is not picking up the sound from the speakers (i.e. the use of headphones is recommended), otherwise the feedback loop starts producing noise!
- Minimum latency (delay) depends on the audio driver and device specifications. The app is designed to offer the lowest possible latency an app could offer, but there is inevitably going to be some latency on android devices (at least for now).

Free version allows for 3 h of total recording or monitoring time. After that the recording or monitoring session is limited to 1 minute.

In case of any problems, please contact me at jure@timetools.eu and I will try to resolve any issue.

Internet permission is needed for the purpose of handling crash reports and improving app performance for which we use Google Cloud services. Voice recordings are never collected.

I wanted to hear what my microphone hears (rather than hear myself through my jawbone) to improve my awful singing. This is exactly what I was looking for. The 150 millisecond minimum delay is short enough, and the ability to adjust the delay length is useful. My only complaint is that I can't use the microphone with other apps on the same phone at the same time (which is a limitation of my phone, not this app).

Fantastic! I have been looking for an app that has minimal lag and no nag screens. I have a severe hearing disability, particularly when there is other noise nearby. I got a Bose QC45 to take care of the background noise but needed to have an app that would amplify the person in front of me. Voila! The 150ms lag still allows me to speak to an individual in a crowded room and understand their speech. Totally awesome!

Disappointed. This app gives no indication that it is a trial unless you go deep into the description. After the trial app is so severely limited and unusable. I would purchase if this was more usable. You cant choose what microphone you are using. At least they don't all show up in the app. I thought call mode would cancel background noise, but it doesn't. It seems to cancel your voice. Expect all room noise to be louder than you. Often when trying to change modes I get severe distortion.

Hi. "Call mode" applies to device selection. Microphone mode "As in call" should do what you want. What mics show up is device specific - I agree the selection is not intuitive, but that's the limitation of Android, as the mic selection revolves around calls. I can only use 350 chars here, so please write me an e-mail for a better discussion.
