About this app

FairEmail is easy to set up and works with virtually all email providers, including Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo!

FairEmail might be for you if you value your privacy.

FairEmail is simple to use, but if you are looking for a very simple email app, FairEmail might not be the right choice.

FairEmail is an email client only, so you need to bring your own email address. FairEmail is not a calendar/contact/task/note manager and cannot make you coffee.

FairEmail does not support non-standard protocols, like Microsoft Exchange Web Services and Microsoft ActiveSync.

Almost all features are free to use, but to maintain and support the app in the long term, not every feature can be for free. See below for a list of pro features.

A lot of effort has gone into this mail app, which was developed to help you protect your privacy. If you have a question or problem, there is always support at marcel@faircode.eu.

This is a great app that was worth the purchase to replace the ever buggy and gm@il that regularly stops working. It's nice to know I'll actually get my emails every time they come through now. The only issue I have now that I've used it a long time is the search function. It does not work well at all regardless of which folders I search or how much syncing I allow. I almost always end up opening the gm@il app to search for things that will otherwise never show up on this one.

I search a lot, and it always works for me. Please contact me via marcel@faircode.eu for support, and I'll help you with this. I'm assuming you already tapped on the "i"-info icon at the top right of the search dialog and read how searching works. Perhaps you didn't continue the search on the server?

April 12, 2024 Update FairEmail continues to be the android email app of choice for myself. The reason for this update is to praise the developer for his amazing support. Responsive and understanding he patiently dealt with my issue which turned out to be my own error in how I had another email client set up to delete mail from the server when it downloaded it (not FairEmail). The app itself is better than it was a few years ago when I originally installed it. Best privacy and support! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So far, so good! It does take a little while to get all of the settings straightened out and may drain your battery quickly or use a lot of data, depending on what you decide to set them at, but I LOVE the amount of options! I haven't noticed any ads obstructing your message view (switching from Yahoo bec. I can't stand the ads that I accidentally ended up clicking on). I wish there could be a toolbar on the bottom for message actions though. I'll update my review as needed.

Thanks. If needed, there is always personal support available via marcel@faircode.eu. If you (later) think the app isn't worth the fifth star, please let me know why. Edit: please contact me, and I'll explain how to configure buttons, for printing and many other things. I have not much space here!
