The “Rescue” smartphone app is the easiest way to alert the rescue service or special forces such as mountain or water rescue. It connects you to the emergency call and transmits your exact position at the same time. In addition, practical information is sent to the emergency call control center, which makes it easier for the rescue workers to work and thus accelerates help. The full functionality is available throughout Austria, and as a special feature this app also works in the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Alpine regions of Slovakia.
ALARM
The transmission of the exact location is an important part of the rapid deployment of the rescue service. If the red 144 (or 140) button is pressed, a voice connection to the emergency call control center is established and at the same time the current data and data that you have previously recorded are transmitted. If there is no data connection, some important basic information is sent to the emergency control center via SMS.
