The European Union (EU) Digital COVID Certificate facilitates the safe and free movement of citizens within the EU during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This app is designed to help providers verify that the documentation of vaccinations, illnesses, or testing provided by individuals is valid.
HOW THE APPLICATION WORKS
• The service provider scans the QR code of the EU digital COVID certificate provided by the visitor.
• The app scans the QR code and checks the validity of the certificate, i.e. whether the submitted document is genuine and forged.
• When checking an EU digital COVID card, it is necessary to check that its data matches the data in the identity document.
• Each EU country treats the information on the certificates individually in accordance with its national rules. In Lithuania, the requirements are set by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, and all relevant information is published at www.koronastop.lt
USE OF PERSONAL DATA
The EU COVID Digital Certificate contains the basic information required: name, date of birth, information on the vaccine received, the disease or test performed, and a unique identifier. For the purposes of verification, only the validity and authenticity of the certificate shall be verified.
The app was developed by the State Enterprise Center of Registers together with the international technology company CGI on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
