The law on the provision of legal aid was adopted by the State Duma on November 2, 2011, and approved by the Federation Council on November 9, 2011. It was last updated on November 28, 2015. The Federal Law on the provision of free legal aid contains 7 chapters and 31 articles. This law regulates the processes and methods of obtaining qualification, effective and free legal aid by the citizens of the Russian Federation. Also, the law provides norms and processes for informing and educating citizens about all the intricacies of their rights.
