Boatspeed

Excellent for dinghy racing. When the countdown has finished it switches to speed and heading, heel can be turned off. Countdown would be better with a horn/alarm. Countdown can have speech which is good for 2 man dinghies, but then constantly talks speed which is annoying, we can read the big numbers while concentrating on going fast.

Looking forward to trying this out in my next dinghy race. I note that the speech generator calls out "kates" for "kts", maybe if it was spelled "knots" it would pronounce the word correctly. It reports degree in the singular, rather than degrees. Also the countdown timer doesn't let you set 12 minutes, for some bizarre reason.

Truly diabolical! Immediately displayed an error message all across the screen saying "Heeling not available on this device", and then refused to let me close app. Even after I did manage to close it, the error message was still there and had to turn off my phone to get rid of it. Immediately uninstalled.
