The app offers various functions: changing Koran verses, a growing knowledge portal on Islamic topics, an appointment overview, a chat function for our groups and members, information about our offers (community meetings on various topics, Koran verse discussions, dhikr, prayers, and much more) and our educational offers. The Liberal Islamic Federation (LIB), founded in spring 2010, is a nationwide Islamic religious community that offers a spiritual home to Muslims who represent a liberal, inclusive and/or progressive understanding of Islam. The LIB communities represented in various cities in Germany offer places where an appropriate understanding of Islam can be lived in practice.

Liberal Islamic means...
...deep faith that assumes that God is the Lord of our lives and that our personal everyday lives are oriented towards him.
....to advocate for a free and self-determined life with responsibility before the Creator.
....to trust in a faith that is open to reason, the understanding is a gift from God.
....to cultivate theological reflection in order to arrive at a contemporary and true-to-life interpretation of Islam - taking into account historical, cultural, biographical and social contexts.
...not (just) to ask about the form, but first and foremost about the meaning.
...not arbitrariness.
...to accept development and change as social dynamics.
...to see demythologization as a possible aid in distinguishing between what is essential and what is not.
...to treat other positions with respect and appreciation.
...to endure contradictions and still see unity.
...to reflect on, relativize or even forego any claim to absoluteness.
...assuming the right to physical and mental integrity.
