Essentially flashcards, but with music notes instead. You can even change the input type to piano keys instead of letter notes. Really good for quick studying and trying to get over the hurdle of assigning letters to keys. There don't seem to be a lot of advanced options (chords, changing key signatures, etc) so I would only recommend this to beginners that have trouble with reading speed. However, this app is amazing for what it is.

It's akin to teaching math facts combined with flash cards, but providing feedback with individual scoring for each cumulative round. Be mindful, the scores are kept for each set of setting. So even if you simply change from both clefs to just treble clefs, it will be a different set of saved scores. Perfect learning app!

I'm a new piano player, and never learned how to read music. I started with books, but quickly realized I needed some flash card style learning. This stripped down app is totally free and has no huge ads, and I'm super thankful for that. Hooking this up to the keyboard has made it much easier to get through some of these very first steps of reading and understanding the books I have. I only wish it had a dark mode so I could do a little more late night playing, it eases my insomnia.
