The Sure Petcare-Animo app is used with the Animo Activity & Behaviour Monitor. Animo learns and interprets the unique activity and behaviour patterns of your dog and the Sure Petcare-Animo app can help you to spot subtle changes in your dog’s behaviour and activity over time, which may be the first signs of a health or behavioural problem. Noticing these changes early enables you to give your dog the care they need at the right time.

The Sure Petcare-Animo app helps you to monitor the following aspects of your dog’s health and wellbeing:
• Behaviour: The Sure Petcare-Animo app highlights significant increases in barking, scratching and shaking. More frequent instances of these behaviours could indicate problems such as fleas, skin allergies, ear infections or environmental factors causing stress.
• Activity: Set and monitor daily activity and calorie burn goals for your dog and receive a notification and see clearly on the dashboard when your favourite goal is met. View activity reports by day, week, month and year.
• Sleep Quality: View your dog’s nightly sleep quality report, compare sleep quality over time and receive a notification if your dog’s sleep quality significantly decreases. A poor night’s sleep can be an indication of stress, discomfort or illness. Customise your dog’s nightly sleep hours (5 hours minimum) for more accurate sleep quality monitoring.
• Rest: See how much rest your dog gets during the day.
• App access: Give access to friends, family and pet sitters so that they can sync Animo while you’re not around.
Animo will sync with the Sure Petcare-Animo app whenever the app is open in the background on your mobile device and your dog’s Animo is within Bluetooth range of your mobile device.
Our app uses location data to enable us to know when it is near the Animo device on your dogs collar and sync behaviour data even when the app is closed or not in use.

The device is advertised as No Subscription. After purchase, they state an active subscription is required after a 6 month trial. The app asks for typical sleep schedule, but restricts the hours selectable to only night. Some of us work at night, and sleep during the day! App causes a constant notification on handheld. Also requires handheld GPS to stay active to track pet location, for some reason. The device doesn't fit well on large collars, those with large breeds beware.

The app and tracker frequently lose the ability to communicate with each other, defeating the purpose of having the Animo. Support seems to be no help whatsoever. An update will then come out weeks later, finally resync, but then the problem happens again about a month later. We've tried to find a pattern of charging the tracker when outside the home zone, but not sure why that would cause it to lock up so much? When it works, it's pretty cool but not worth the headache and inconsistency.

After purchasing the product and installing the app ( and uninstalling numerous times ) I couldn't get it to work. I had to create an account online because the app would glitch out after uploading a picture. I really wanted this to work, but as of right now, I can't see why this would be worth $80. Now, the app isn't even turning on to starting screen and it just stays on the loading screen.
