Standard Notes is a secure and private notes app. It syncs your notes securely across all your devices, including your Android devices, Windows, iOS, Linux, and Web.
Private means your notes are end-to-end encrypted, so only you can read your notes. Even we can't read the contents of your notes.

$90/year is too much for note taking (I could be convinced to pay half that). Free version is too limited for note taking (doesn't even have checkboxes to make a to do list). Unless you have a need for highly secure notes, I see no reason to recommend it over Simplenote or any other app. That said, the paid version looks like it has some fantastic features (spreadsheets, attaching files and photos). If you add free checkboxes or discount the price, I'll revisit the app.

I use Standard Notes to keep important text-only notes, both on my PC and my phone. I love it cause it supported with E2E encryption. But, It's sad cuz this app doesn't have undo and redo button on free ver. On PC, I can undo/redo with keyboard, but I can't do that on my phone. π Cause of that, I tried to write and delete words carefully so I didn't lose my entire notes :"D Especially, cause the sync process of this platform is very seamless. It'll be bad if I accidentally delete my notes π

Hi Nadya, thank you for your honest thoughts on the app so far! While free users do not have the undo/redo button found on the Super note type, free users can access the Session History of a note, which may have past versions of a note as well:

I have switched to "Standard Notes" from evernote. I have 1200 notes (quotations) that I use somewhat regularly in my daily writings. Evernote locked me out and are holding my notes for a ransom of $12/month. I really like your simple and straight forward app - it's all I really need. I wish that there was a button that would enable me to scroll through my notes more quickly. Thanks very much. Using android 14 on Oneplus 11.
