The railway service itself is the problem: despite the expensive tickets, the service is terrible. Every time there is a strike or an engineering work, it's an unreliable service you can not count on. You'd expect trains to follow the scheduled departures but no. Every time you need to check on Google Maps if there's any engineering work or strike. Unfortunately it's the only available alternative but it's really awful service for what we pay.

It is better than before, but I think there is room for improvement in terms of practicality. I also find that the timetable sign system in Waterloo is disconnected from physical platforms. There is no reference point for train stations, alphabetical, destination etc. For instance a train to Sttrawberry Hill can depart from platform 4 or 21. Thanks

Unreliable (one never knows when it has technical issues in booking a ticket or retrieving one -- and it happens a lot). Unreliable (it asks the user to confirm their credentials at the most inappropriate moments such as when in front of the barrier at the station trying to get to the platform and get on the train). Slow to login, slow to retrieve tickets. On a positive note, it integrates with Google Wallet/Pay -- when it works...
