I'm returning to music after a 20 year break. I got three month free trial when I purchased my digital piano. I started at the beginning courses as I'm very rusty and left hand is very different to keyboard. The lessons are well put together and it teaches pieces that feel level appropriate but not like children pieces. There are glitches with the interface, it will crash occasionally, note recognition can be iffy but it does not then prevent you from moving on if you feel you got it correct.

App is awful. It pauses every time you get a notification, which also causes the UI to glitch and makes the continue button disappear. It has a terrible guess the note function where you have to retry the whole lesson if you get it wrong, I just want to learn to play scores, I don't need to be able to hear what a specific note is. Also, needing to hit continue on the device all the time is annoying. We're using a midi instrument. Just ask for inputs from that. Poorly designed app

I LOVE this app! There are so many wonderful things about it. This is my perspective as a returning beginner. 1) I recognised what I was playing straight away. This bought me JOY. 2) It breaks down song for you in small sections 3) you can slow down the tempo until you're getting used to what you're playing 4) you can learn and practice scales if you want, but it teaches you, you can warm up by playing your fav songs. There are bugs in the intermediate lessons, but I love this as a beginner.
