About this app

The origin of the term hero Hero comes from Sanskrit, namely phala-wan, meaning someone who produces quality fruit (phala) for the nation, state and religion. A hero is a person who stands out for his courage and sacrifice in defending the truth or a brave warrior. However, etymologically, there are also those who interpret the term hero as coming from the root word reward, and ending in wan, thus becoming a rewarder. That is, these heroes deserve to be rewarded for their services in fighting for the truth. In addition, according to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), the word hero is defined as a person who fights bravely in defending the truth. Furthermore, according to mythological, the origin of the hero comes from the Greek language, which in mythology is associated with "troops" or "those who sacrifice for God or truth." The elements of sacrifice and courage are indeed very attached to the term hero or heroism. Therefore, heroes are considered as protectors, defenders, and guardians.
Awarding the title of hero Everyone can be called a hero if he has fought for the truth. However, the awarding of a hero title to a person can only be officially carried out if it is in accordance with statutory regulations. The awarding of the title of hero is regulated in Law Number 20 of 2009 concerning titles, decorations and honors. In the law it is stated that the title of hero is given to someone who has fallen or died for struggle, dedication, charity, and extraordinary work for the nation and state.
