(original review, updated) I find this a bit unintuitive eg. took a while to work out that to select a start point I need to choose "Advanced Plan" Also, the first place I looked for, Tibshelf, I know there's an Ecotricity pump but not on this map. (Updated after super speedy developer response, thanks) According to Ecotricity's app there is a fast AC charger which I think should work for my BMW i3. But that app is rather clunky and I'm not sure what some of it means. Luckily I am not actually in need of a charge, just experimenting with various apps. Otherwise, this is way faster and slicker than certain rivals, possibly because it doesn't splatter the map in irrelevant pumps which make it unreadable. I believe this has a lot of potential and encourage you to keep developing it. Added an extra star for developers' great response time :-)

Hi Alan. Thanks for leaving your review- it's much appreciated! The Tibshelf chargers (north and southbound) are both in the database. However, neither have CCS and so, if you had a CCS-compatible car selected, this may be why they weren't shown (we try not to show chargers which can't be used). If this is not the case, please drop us an email! ^MG

It shows you all the chargers on route, but how do you tell it you actually want to stop at one? There is an overview button to see the list (but you can't see charger details from there?), with a + button. But if I click on + for two chargers on route, then go back to the map, the route on the map goes right past them. Is it me being stupid, or the app?

Be aware that this app is useless if your EV doesn't have DC charging. It would be better if it said that up front but it lets you enter details of your AC-only car and then shows you some but by no means all of the available fast AC chargers. It should carry a warning because it's giving you very misleading information without telling you. Edit: developer response misses the point of what I said. There are lots of AC only EVs around. List all fast AC chargers or none.

Hi. WattsUp is designed for quick top-ups and drivers on longer journeys. As a result, and because there are no BEVs being produced with AC charging only, we only show DC units. If your car is 'rapid AC' capable, we do show 43kW chargers. However, this only applies to older Renault Zoes which are no longer being built. I hope this is helpful.
