About this app

Pulse Range Monitor notifies you by beeping and(or) vibrating when you exceed your personalized upper and lower heart rate limits and thus helps keep your heart rate in the desired range.

So, you will always know that your pulse is correct during your workout. You can exercise in needed heart rate zone without having to constantly look at your mobile or watch.

You can continue training with your favourite running or fitness app, mobile version of Pulse Range Monitor runs parallel in the background. When working in the background, the mobile app displays a corresponding notification.

Mobile version of Pulse Range Monitor requires external Bluetooth or ANT+ heart rate sensor. Like Polar, Garmin, Wahoo, etc.
The app has been tested with next BT heart rate sensors:
- Polar H10
- Polar Verity Sense
- Polar OH1+
- Polar H9
- Wahoo TICKR
- Wahoo TICKR X
- Wahoo TICKR FIT
- Fitcare HRM508
(Please email the developer if your sensor is not supported or does not work with the app.)

Many sports watches (including non-Android ones) support the ability to broadcast heart rate. You can broadcast heart rate data from your sports watch and thus use it as a heart rate sensor.

The app supports Wear OS. The standalone Wear OS app does not require connection between mobile and wearable device, but can broadcast heart rate data to mobile app for detail analysis if necessary. Settings required for calculation calories burned and goal alerts are synchronized with mobile app.
The Wear OS app version can use internal or external bluetooth heart rate sensor.

This app is exactly what I've been looking for my pixel watch. I used to use the default workout app to monitor my heart rate while doing cardio but unless I constantly look at my screen, it's impossible to know if I go below zone. This app on my watch makes it super easy to set up alerts so that if your hr goes below a target, your watch constantly buzzes until you increase your workout intensity again. Thank you dev for making this someone niche but very useful app.

This app is very barebones, but it's almost what I need. If I could get an option to have the sound play at each beat when it's out of range and do the same thing with HRV, this app would be perfect for both heart and HRV training. Please add this update, and I'll be ever grateful. Thanks. Edit: Thank you for the update. Would love to see HRV on this app too, but this will do!

The app does its basic job. However, I was looking to track my heartbeat while I'm sleeping and alert me with vibration and sound if the pulse is beyond a range. I'll update my stars to 5 when the app can detect my sleep activity automatically (based on movement) and make the app active. If I'm running and it exceeds the range in this mode, then it should ignore it. Here's an idea for the developer - Include a Mode function with two options - 1. Track while awake, and 2. Track while asleep.
