Surat Al-Ra’d is the thirteenth surah within the thirteenth part of the Holy Qur’an, and it is one of the civil suras, and its name is taken from verse (13). She talks about doctrinal issues, especially the call to monotheism, the resurrection and the fight against polytheism, and about issues related to the social system, and the eligibility and greatness of the Qur’an, and about heaven and its wonders, and about praising thunder, and setting proverbs to know truth from falsehood.

Among its well-known verses is the Almighty’s saying in verse (11): Those who disbelieve, you are not a messenger. Say: Allah suffices as a witness between me and you, and he who has knowledge of the Book.

There are many narrations regarding the virtue of reading it, including what was narrated on the authority of the Prophet (PBUH): Whoever recites Surat Al-Ra’d will be given ten rewards, according to the weight of every cloud that has passed and every cloud that will be until the Day of Resurrection.
