Surat Yusuf: Yusuf is a Meccan surah that was revealed before the migration of the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, to Medina. The fifty-third rank, according to the words of Badr al-Din al-Zarkashi. It was revealed after Surat Hud and before Surat al-Hijr. Surah Yusuf was named by this name because it dealt with the story of the Prophet of God Joseph, peace be upon him, where God Almighty tells us the story of His Prophet Yusuf in all its details in one surah. The surah lists the types of hardships that he was exposed to. Youssef is one of his brothers, since his placement in the well and his separation from his family and parents and his sale as a child, to his imprisonment, and the women conspired against him, then he took over the treasuries of Egypt, as all these events were recited successively in succession of their scenes and chapters.

One of the merits of Surah Yusuf is that it relieves the pain and agony of death and provides the Muslim with strength, as the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said (Teach your slaves Surah Yusuf, for whichever Muslim his teacher recites it, his family and what his right hand possesses, God made death easy for him, and gave him the strength not to envy a Muslim)
