Surah Yunus is the tenth surah within Part (11) of the Holy Qur’an, and it is one of the Meccan surahs, and its name is taken from verse (98). It talks about the issue of revelation and the position of the Prophet, may God bless him and his family and grant him peace, and the demise of this worldly life, and the necessity of turning to the Hereafter through faith and good deeds. It also talks about different aspects of the life of the prophets, including Noah, Moses and Yunus, peace be upon them.

Among its famous verses is the Almighty saying in verse (10):﴿ And the last of them is called that the praise be to God, the Lord of the two worlds, and the Almighty’s saying in verse (36):﴿ And he does not follow the most of them except for the one who does not. ): {Say: Then produce a surah like it, and call upon whomever you can besides Allah, if you are truthful.}

There are many narrations regarding the virtue of reading it, including what was narrated on the authority of the Prophet (PBUH): Whoever reads Surat Yunus will be given ten rewards, equal to the number of those who believed in Yunus and denied him, and the number of those who drowned with Pharaoh.
