Baman Purana is one of the eighteen traditional religions and an important traditional scripture. This Purana is dedicated to the dwarf incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Like most of the Puranas, the Dwarf Purana also has ten characteristics. The subsistence of the universe is the story of creation. The universe reveals how different organisms evolved from one species to another. Space, nurture, uti and scholarship are descriptions of various attempts at human survival.
From the Raksha section it is known how Lord Vishnu took various incarnations for the purpose of world protection. The complete history of the reign of Manu has been narrated. The Purana has 56 chapters.
