Great concept, frustrating implementation 1) Stops for no reason. May not resume. 2) Pause and repeat are limited and give no indication what that limit is. Hit repeat too many and you're back to live. Pause too long it just quits. 3) Old podcasts won't play. Why list them as if they do? 4) Podcasts play from newest to oldest making it a hassle to listen in chronological order The above is true for ALL public radio apps I've tried so the issues are with the underlying program that they all share

Update (4/6/2019): Recent improvements in performance allow me to update my review from one star to two. Now most of the time the app load in 30 seconds. i could live with that. however, it still hangs far too often. Annoying when you are trying to listen to a show that starts at a particular time. i have to reboot my phone. The app trys to load a bunch of high resolution grappics i am using a Samsung note 8 so it is not old hardware. why would we care about graphics? It's radio! stupid

This app is super user friendly. I just open it every morning, navigate to on demand, and play morning edition. One improvement I would suggest is the ability to play in the background. If I accidentally closed the app, I lose my spot in the program I was listening to. Other than that, I love this app. I love NPR! <3
