HOW TO GET STARTED
1. Download the Plegium app.
2. Follow the simple activation steps inside the app.
3. Connect your device through Bluetooth.
4. Add your emergency contacts.

IMPORTANT
The emergency alert functionalities require the following:
- Your Plegium Smart personal safety device must be connected to the Plegium app.
- Bluetooth and location services must be activated on your phone, and the Plegium app must be allowed to always access Bluetooth and location services.
- The Plegium app must be active. It can be in the background and the phone can be locked, but if the app is fully closed ("killed"), the emergency alerts will not go through. For alerts while running in the background, notifications must be enabled.
- Add at least one emergency contact with a cell phone number in the Plegium app. Plegium is free to use, and for those who want even more control over their safety, we offer optional paid subscriptions within the app.

It was working the first couple of weeks, but now when I try to start the app to update contacts, it just sits stuck in the loading view with a spinner over their logo. I tries restarting my phone and testing on mobile network and wifi. Not very reassuring. No idea if this means the service itself would not even send information to existing contacts in event i needed to use device. Would expect a bit more reliability from a personal defense tool.

Initial app install did not work. However very quick response to customer service query appears to have led to an app update which has appeared to fix it. It still appears to seem to attempt Bluetooth pairing repeatedly but this then settled. Hopefully this will continue to work. I'll update in due course. Now much more hopeful this will deliver on its objective 🤞

The app won't let me get past the Terms and Conditions, even when I press Agree. Prior to this issue, it always was requesting me to turn on my GPS, despite my phone GPS being on. I don't feel safe without this app working properly. If it gets updated or if customer service gets back to me, id be glad to change my review.
