An absolute MASTERPIECE !!! The game is a must for the lovers of these slowly paced adventure games. I've enjoyed the Broken Sword saga, I've cursed in The Longest Jurney and I both laughed and cursed in Grim Fandango. But whereas in none of the above could I have managed without some tutorials, in LIMBO I've mostly made it on my own. It can be frustrating at times, but it's puzzles are absolute genius ! A fantastic little game indeed. Oh yeah... The ending could've used a little touch.

Limbo has good atmosphere, but as a puzzle game it fails, and fails badly. Pretty much 9/10 times, puzzles are not hard, theres no "Aha, so that is how you should do it" moments, just timing. "Oh, so I have to be perfect on my timing, jump one millisecond too soon or too early and it won't work". This is common problem in puzzle games these days and Limbo is not different in this aspect. Some people like "puzzles" where you have to be perfect with timing, but for the most part it's just annoying

Art direction is top notch. Very dark, and eery atmosphere. The gripe is piss poor controls. You have to die to uncover every puzzle, then die over and over just to get the character to execute each small movement to solve the most basic of platforming feats. Better control would make this a lot more enjoyable. For a game that isn't much fun to play, you may just want to watch a YouTube play through and save 5 bucks.
