Birrapps is a free app for helping homebrewers to make the beer production process much easier. It can correct the hydrometer reading according to the wort temperature. It calculates the water needed for each step of the process as well as the bitterness (IBU) according to the hops added at different times of the wort boiling. It can also help to calculate the amount of salts/minerals needed for modifying your water profile to match different beer styles. It’s easy to use, thought by homebrewers for the homebrewers.

A useful and simple app. It has a small problem with the ABV calculation screen though. I tried entering the SGs from my last batch and it came out as zero%. Later I worked out that if you want to enter 1.040 you actually have to type in 1040 (no decimal point). The app would benefit from the ability to change the background colour because the current blue is pretty dire. Also add temps to the ABV pane so the SGs correct themselves. But these are small quibbles, so 5 stars for being so useful.

The idea is great, but there is no way to change the units, it only seems to work with Imperial units, which is only used in 3 countries in the entire world, the fact that I need to convert the units just to use it makes it harder than just do the density math by myself

It looks nice, but lacks a few features. You should add BIAB options and metric calculations.

Hi! Thanks for your comment and review! We'll consider the BIAB option for next updates. Now regarding the metric system, at this point the app changes from metric to US standard system according to your device language. Try changing it to another english lang besides US. We're are working on making it customizable for the user soon too!
