With the introduction of the Minifigs Series 25 (CMF), it is now possible to identify which minifig is inside the box by scanning the data code on the bottom of the box.
This is not official information, so it may not always work, but many users have reported that the data codes match the minifigs correctly.
This app allows you to quickly scan these data codes and reveal which minifig should be in the box.
Note: The data code to scan (similar to a QR code / QRCode) to find the matching minifig is located below the boxes.

THIS APP IS PERFECT!!! I saw a video on it and downloaded it IMMEDIATELY. I went to my local Walmart and scanned ALL the boxes. Got the ones I needed and left. When I got home, I opened them and what do you know, they were the ones I both scanned and needed. I would definitely recommend this app for any minifig collectors.

Awesome app!! I was able to grab a full set of series 26 using this app in a single store visit. 100% accurate too. I'd love to see photos of the figs in the app in the future but the app is great even without photos. Highly recommend.

Yes the picture would indeed be great, but I currently have some problems with the updates of the android version.

The app is great. It allows people to scan multiple boxes in one shot, making the process much faster in finding the wanted minifigs. I've tested all ways to scan multiple boxes without any failures in the scans.
