Crime stoppers pays cash reward of up to $2500 on felony crimes that happen in the New York City. The only requirement is you must report your tip directly to NYPD Crime Stoppers by our hotline, mobile app, or web tip using P3.
Things you should know:
• Crime stoppers will never ask you for your name, phone number, address or any other information that could identify you.
• We do not record phone calls or have caller ID. We do not record any IP addresses. No one will know you called or reported your information through this mobile app unless you tell them.
• Once you download the mobile app, you will be asked to setup a passcode. You will then be able to give us your tip. Please remember your passcode is the only way Crime Stoppers can communicate with you or pay you.
• It is your responsibility to check on the status of your tip. Return to the mobile app and you will know if your tip helped law enforcement arrest or charge a felony suspect/fugitive. You will be given instructions on how to claim your reward.

This app needs to allow the user to share location instead of requiring the user to manually select a burrough. It also needs image icons for the crimes. Nobody likes to read a whole list of text items on their phones in this day and age. This feels very outdated.
