App fails to work at times when I'm away from home, viewing my cameras. Works perfectly fine when home. Tried un-installing and installing again, same problem! ( New Update ) 10/12/2018 I just checked my App, now it's working fine and I can view all of my cameras while I am away from home. I don't know what fixed this previous problem that I was having, but I hope it doesn't come back. In the above issues that I was having, support said that my router didn't have sufficient speed and I needed a new one. I was using this same router on the Night Owl system for nearly two years and never had a problem until back in August of this year. I hope that the app continues to work not only for me but everyone. Word of advice...If it's not broken, don't try to fix it!!!

Update: 10/28/22 Now on live view, when I click to make a camera video bigger, the screen only shows half of the picture and it's not even the right camera on the bottom half of the picture. This system is JUNK! Half the time I can't view when I get a notification and it disconnects a lot! It tells me video not on file a lot. Ugh! Are you working to fix these problems? The point of this is to be able to see what's going on when you aren't there.

Dear Brenda, I apologize for the delayed streaming issues that you have been experiencing while trying to view your cameras remotely. Please ensure that you have the latest DVR Firmware in your DVR and that you have the latest update for your Night Owl HD App in the Play Store. Camera clarity is excellent however every time I bring up the phone app I have to reconnect to the dvr which sometimes takes 10 minutes. My wifi connection/speed is perfect. I have a major problem with remote playback, when scrolling thru the time on the bottom to select when to review it simply freezes up and wont play at all. The point of cameras is to view the playback when something happens. They need to update some things badly. Customer service sucks. Until then, 1 star.

Hello, we suggest clearing the app cache and check on the application permissions within the mobile device settings, ensure that all permissions are enabled. once, you have checked these settings, force close the application and relaunch the application. for further assistance, please contact our technical support team at 1-866-390-1303.

What's new

Our first update of the Fall has arrived! The Night Owl engineers have been living on coffee and fast food so they can eliminate a bug affecting push notifications. Just like you, we do not like bugs! Where ever you may be, please stand and give these guys an ovation. The issue has been fixed.
