Avigilon Alta Open allows users to quickly and securely open a door connected to the Avigilon Alta Access Control system with their smartphone. The application works only with the Avigilon Alta Access Control system. We leverage the following technology in your phone to ensure the best door opening experience possible: Bluetooth low energy, Wifi and LTE capabilities as well as location services and the accelerometer. To ensure you are authorized as a user of your company’s Avigilon Alta Access Control system, please contact your administrator, who will check to see that your email address has been added and will send you links to enable your application to be authorized and credentialed. When it works, it's great. But, it allows it's User-approved special settings to be changed. Worse, without notifying the User. Suddenly, you're standing in the Cold Rain fumbling. This morning it wasn't working again w/o warning. After searching & searching, I finally zeroed in on Cause. The company had been Sold ... And without notice, some CLODnik had updated the App overnight with a new name and App button color! Some real Thinking went into that! #Unbelievable

I use this app to access my gym after staffed hours. I have noticed that the app will randomly open itself up and run in the background. It doesn't really seem to make a difference what I do, I thought initially it was doing this because I was opening my gym app. It's randomly running in the background. It's extremely difficult to figure out how to turn that off and that why I'm leaving this review. I think the app opening itself is extremely invasive and inappropriate. I wish I could delete it.

Disappointed to find the app name and color totally changed without warning, I guess it was sold off. Besides the app still uses bright white background which is very blinding each morning as I'm trying to open the garage in my car. Why not utilize the darkness settings from the phone OS.
