📖 The book “The Garden of Preachers and the Garden of the Listeners” 📖

By Abu Al-Faraj Abdul Rahman bin Abi Al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad Al-Qurashi Al-Taymi Al-Bakri, known as Ibn Al-Jawzi

Enjoy reading the book “The Garden of Preachers and Riyadh Al-Sameen” by Ibn Al-Jawzi with the best application for books and stories, without the Internet, and many other features.

The book consists of gatherings that the author held to remind and preach about God Almighty. The book includes eighteen councils, including a council dedicated to seeking refuge, another for mentioning the Day of Resurrection and its fears, a council that talks about Paradise and its description, and a council that highlights the virtue of fasting. Ibn al-Jawzi supported his book with verses from the Holy Qur’an, prophetic hadiths, and many traces

It is a useful preaching book for purifying the soul, in which Ibn al-Jawzi speaks in easy and simple language on a number of topics that concern every Muslim. Then he comments on each topic with evidence from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, and sometimes quotes verses from Arab poetry.

Author:
Ibn al-Jawzi is Abu al-Faraj Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad al-Qurashi al-Taymi al-Bakri. A Hanbali jurist, historian, and theologian (510 AH/1116 AD - 12 Ramadan 597 AH) who was born and died in Baghdad. He enjoyed wide fame and a great position in rhetoric, preaching, and classification, and he also excelled in many sciences and arts. His lineage goes back to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, and he was known as Ibn Al-Jawzi because of a walnut tree that was in his house in the town of Wasit, and there was no other walnut tree in the town, and it was said: in reference to “the walnut fardha”, which is the port of the Basra River.

❇️ Some reviews of the book Bustan al-Wa’izin wa Riyadh al-Sami’in by Ibn al-Jawzi ❇️

▪️Reviews source: www.goodreads.com/book/show/9480311▪️

- A good book about preaching and purifying the soul, presented in a smooth manner, despite the fact that it deserves five stars, despite the hadiths and news it contains, for which there is no evidence of their authenticity.

- The book deals with many important topics and explains them in important detail... The topics from the author and the title are clearly related to the Islamic religion... Each verse in the book is commented on with evidence from the Qur’an or the Sunnah, or both, in addition to the sayings and sermons of scholars on that topic... with verses of poetry that serve Every topic
Ahmed Alkaabi

- A very beautiful book of preaching, although it was written about a thousand years ago, its language is easy and simple and it contains a lot of benefit... But the book needs investigation and the extraction of hadiths, as there are many hadiths in it that we do not know how true they are.
Mhd Nabil Zakariya

- One of my favorite books by Ibn al-Jawzi. His language gives you a unique sense of reverence and charges you with faith. God rest his soul

- O God, forgive and have mercy on Ibn al-Jawzi and those who worked on it and to realize it and deliver it to us.. The last two councils in praying for the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace). I hope that they will be a stand-alone book.. The book is preaching par excellence and there is no hope that it will be a reliable reference in the hadiths, because it contains A lot of strange and unsupported

❇️ Some quotes from the book Bustan al-Wa’izin wa Riyadh al-Sami’in by Ibn al-Jawzi ❇️

“Oh, a journey without a return, oh, heartbreak for loved ones, oh, drunkenness without a mirage, oh, a knee without stirrups, oh, my lonely bed, alone, between beds of pebbles and dirt.”

“The heart of a believer is better than a house inhabited by more than a thousand thousand times, so it is more worthy of preservation because a house inhabited by the worship of angels, and the heart of a believer is inhabited by the Creator’s gaze upon it, so there is a great deal of difference between them.”

“God is God, servants of God, do not accept the whisperings of the deceived Satan, and use your hearts and chests with verses and humility, and shed copious tears for what you have neglected. I seek refuge in God from the consequences of disagreement. I seek refuge in God from audacity and belittlement. I seek refuge in God from disobedience and lack of confession.”
