📖 The Book of Patience and the Reward for It by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya 📖

By Abu Bakr bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ubaid bin Sufyan bin Qais Al-Baghdadi, known as Ibn Abi Al-Dunya

Enjoy reading the book “Patience and the Reward for It” by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya with the application of books and stories, without the Internet, and many other features

Patience is a great virtue that can only be given to someone with great fortune, and ignorance of its truth is ignorance of a great branch of faith.
It is a clear position of the religion, a position of the guided servants of God, and a characteristic of the people of determination and success. Nothing is more worthy of explaining the value of patience than the fact that no limit to its reward is known! God Almighty has promised to give the patient the reward from Him without reckoning, as God Almighty said: “Indeed, the patient are given their reward in full without reckoning” [Surat Az-Zumar 10].
If the subject of patience is known to the reader, he will undoubtedly come across new things in this book that he had no previous knowledge of. The author, the memorizer and educator, Abu Bakr Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abi Al-Dunya - as usual in his books - enriches us with amazing news and stories, sayings and stories. Strange and rare, even if some of them were painful and cruel.. In fact, it contained hadiths for which I could not find anyone other than the author as a narrator, so he may be the only one to narrate them. God knows.

Author:
Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ubaid bin Sufyan bin Qais Al-Baghdadi Al-Qurashi, their client, a loyalist of the Umayyads (208 AH - 281 AH), nicknamed Ibn Abi Al-Dunya (his title overshadowed his name until he became famous for it); Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr was born in the city of Baghdad, in the early third century AH, in the year two hundred and eight (208 AH). He is an Arab historian and writer, the author of Al-Mu'tadid Al-Abbasi and his son Al-Muktafi Billah.
Al-Hafiz Ibn Katheer - may God have mercy on him - said about him in Al-Bidayah and Al-Nihayah: “He is famous for his many useful, popular, and well-known writings on Al-Ruqiq and other things. He was honest, a memorizer, and a man of chivalry.”

- I benefited a lot from this book. How great is the reward for those who are patient ❤️

Talking about patience is easy, but the real test is the time of application. We can chant the virtue of patience day and night, but who among us can commit to it in our lives? ..But in his small situations? .. Be patient when saying a hurtful word? An angry look? About a groan of pain? A sigh of distress? For a slip or lapse against God? About a sin, Satan keeps repeating to you that it is small, and God is Forgiving! .. If we have patience in abandoning what is easy, then it is the path to the path to advancement.. And the true test is not in being patient with the sins and forbidden things that the soul abstains from, or doing the good and righteous deeds that the soul desires.. Rather, in abandoning the sins that it desires and doing the acts of obedience that it is too lazy to do. Here is patience and its true meaning. Whenever an incident occurs that requires patience, the words of one of our predecessors ring in my ears: “Either you have the patience of noble people or you have the patience of animals.” And I am still afraid that my patience will be tested. I do not know to what extent I can withstand. I am afraid that... My failure and lack of determination are quickly revealed to me. In this book, I have experienced patience that I am unable to imagine, so how can I experience it? .. However, I realize that they were not supernatural, but rather human beings of flesh and blood, but whoever is patient, God will grant him patience.

- Oh God, I ask you for beautiful patience that will help me obey you, keep me away from disobeying you, and satisfy me with your decree and destiny.
Heba

- Only those who are patient will be given their reward in full, without reckoning. When we hear about patience, all we remember is patience in the face of affliction alone in all its forms, whether illness, poverty, or humiliation. But we always forget patience in obeying what God has commanded us, and patience in refraining from disobeying Him and avoiding them, which is the most difficult type of patience. In a hadith, may God bless him and grant him peace. The best jihad, may God bless him and grant him peace, is for a man to strive against himself and his desires, for our Lord blesses us with all kinds of patience.. The book is considered a compilation of hadiths by the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and some of the Companions and followers, and their words about patience and its virtue, and some stories about patience, but it contains many weak hadiths, unfortunately, and is merely a compilation without comment or explanation. From the author
Amr Mohamed

- In the end, the lesson is not in patience, but in what you are patient for. Even animals are patient, and even the least energetic people are patient. They are forced to be patient. True patience is to be patient while you are able to be afraid, to be patient for a great goal, which is to please God Almighty and to achieve it. Patience is pure in you, not on you. Be patient by choice, not by force. Be patient in obedience, not patience in despair and complaining. Oh God, inspire us with patience, teach us how to be patient, and increase our source of patience and seeking reward, O Lord of the Worlds.
