📖 The Selected Book of Remembrances from the Words of Sayyid Al-Abrar by Al-Nawawi 📖

By Abu Zakaria Yahya bin Sharaf Al-Hazami Al-Nawawi Al-Shafi’i, known as Al-Nawawi

Enjoy reading the book of selected supplications from the words of Sayyid Al-Abrar by Al-Nawawi with the application of books and stories, without the Internet, and many other features.

A book in which Imam Al-Nawawi collected the dhikr, wirds, and selected supplications from the hadith of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, most of which were narrated from the six books: Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa’i, and Muhammad ibn Majah. Imam Al-Nawawi mentions the book from which the hadith was taken, and the companion, the narrator of the hadith, as well. But he deliberately deleted the chains of transmission because the target reader is the worshiper and not the learner, as stated in the introduction to the book: “So I intended to make this easy for those who wish; So I began to compile this book, summarizing the purposes of what I mentioned roughly for those who care, and deleting the chains of transmission in most of it because of the preference I mentioned for brevity, and because it is a topic for the worshipers, and they are not looking to know the chains of transmission, but rather they hate it, even if it is short, except for the few, and because its purpose is to know the remembrances, act upon them, and clarify their meanings for those who are guided. I will mention, God willing, instead of the chains of transmission, what is more important than what is often neglected, which is an explanation of the authentic hadiths, their good ones, their weak ones, and their objectionable ones, for this is something that all people lack knowledge of except the rare among the hadith scholars, and this is the most important thing that must be taken care of, and what the student achieves in terms of perfect memorization. And the skilled and accredited imams, and I will add to it, God willing, a number of precious things from the knowledge of hadith, the subtleties of jurisprudence, the important principles of rules, exercises for the souls, and etiquette whose knowledge is confirmed for those who follow the path, and I will mention everything I mention clearly so that it is easy for the common people and scholars to understand it.”
It includes very many chapters that deal with different and diverse topics, including the remembrances of prayer, Hajj, fasting, jihad, death, sleep, during distress, on the two Eids, when an eclipse, rain rain, visiting the sick, entering the mosque, wearing clothes, entering the toilet, morning and evening remembrances, when riding an animal or ship, etc., remembrances for sexual intercourse, and greetings. Marriage and other topics.

Author:
Abu Zakaria Yahya bin Sharaf Al-Hazami Al-Nawawi Al-Shafi’i (631 AH - 1233 AD / 676 AH - 1277 AD), known as “Al-Nawawi,” is a Muslim hadith scholar, jurist, and linguist, and one of the most prominent Shafi’i jurists. He is famous for his many books and classifications in jurisprudence, hadith, language, and biographies, such as Riyadh Al-Salehin, Al-Arba’in Al-Nawawi, Minhaj Al-Talibeen, and Al-Rawdah. He is described as the editor of the Shafi’i school of thought, its refiner, its reviewer and its arranger, as the work among Shafi’i jurists has settled on what Al-Nawawi suggests is most likely. Al-Nawawi is called the Sheikh of the Shafi’is. If the word “two sheikhs” is used according to the Shafi’is, they mean Al-Nawawi and Abu Al-Qasim Al-Rafi’i Al-Qazwini.

- May God have mercy on Imam Al-Nawawi. I have never read a work of his without feeling his sincerity, honesty and insight. I ask God to raise his ranks and benefit him as this book has benefited us and other enjoyable works like it. The book collects many dhikr and sunnahs.
Tysseer Harak

- One of the most enjoyable and beautiful books I have read.. There are remembrances and hadiths that we have come across before. Oh, but the general context of the book in which you read it makes my feeling about it different.. A book to remind, teach, and refine.. A book full of goodness, blessings, and light.
Mona Adel

- A wonderful book unlike the rest of the books, because of the sufficient and comprehensive explanation that includes all the matters of a Muslim’s life. It does not limit itself to mentioning the hadiths and supplications received from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, but rather mentions the jurisprudential rulings and what must be done and what is not permissible. The book contained: doctrine, jurisprudence, hadith, behavior, etc. This book should be contained in every library, as it is an important reference at every stage of our lives and is not one of the books that are read once and then thrown on the shelves.
To Da

- A book that includes almost all the correct dhikr for all occasions and situations, and the best thing about it is its organization and arrangement, and the authenticity of its hadiths.
Hossam Saeed

- As usual, Imam al-Nawawi...abundance of knowledge with beauty of style and simplicity of expression..a book that no Islamic library is without..may God have mercy on the Imam.

“On the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “If the animal of one of you escapes in a desert land, let him call: O servants of God, hold back, O servants of God, hold back, for God Almighty is on earth. “Besieged will lock him up.”

- Remembrances of the Traveler/Chapter: What to say if his animal breaks free”
