❇️ Some quotes from the book Al-Yaqouta - Ibn al-Jawzi's Sermons ❇️

So, how amazing is the one who wastes his life in passion, every time he makes a pilgrimage in pursuit of the world, an argument followed by an Umrah, he is deceived by its adornment, and not every black one is a date, and he admires him because of his lack of understanding that redness is an ember. "

“Does he not build his gardens by giving his life, renouncing passion, for passion is the place of heroes, not the arena of heroes, so where are the heroes and their protectors?”

"O inhabitant of the house, be ready to move, for the one who departed has pulled the loads."

“How amazing is the denier of the resurrection when he sees the seeds in the ground that have died of thirst and starvation, so it was only that he blew in the images of thunder, and the dryness became moist.”

“Oh, you repent with your tongue and persist with your heart and in your heart, so I wish I could tell you who you are deceiving?”

“The Ahl al-Sunnah sect is a survivor, and the rest of the sects will perish, so you must follow them, for God is God, do not contradict.”

"Beware of the trap of the urgent, for the enemy is behind the wall, and behold the prison of passion, how many are there captives! Where are the correct eyesight? All of them are exposed to passion."

"Beware of disagreement, for the punishment of the punishment is hunting, and do not forget the respite, for the torment may have walked on rods, how many lions it took in its forelock!"

“God has a generation of people who turn their hearts to their turning, and set souls in the hands of its chastiser, and deliver them if they sell them to their owner, and bring the Hereafter, so they look at its absence, and they stay awake at nights as if they were entrusted with the care of its stars, and they called themselves to be patient over the fire of its wood, and they hated the world, so they did not tend to its courts, and they longed for meeting their beloved, so they prolonged the period of residence therein.”

“Wow, what is drawn from him, and every good is from him, and what a pity for his disobedient, he has strayed from the path of his senses, and what a disappointment for those who hope for nothing but him, he has strayed from the path of his happiness.”
