📖 The book: The Kit of the Patient and the Treasure of the Grateful by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah 📖

By Muhammad bin Abi Bakr bin Ayyub bin Saad Al-Zar’i Al-Dimashqi, Shams Al-Din, Abu Abdullah, known as Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah

Enjoy reading the book “The Kit of the Patient and the Treasure of the Grateful” by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah with the best application for books, without the Internet, and many other features.

In this book, Imam Ibn al-Qayyim presents a comprehensive study of the concept of patience in Islam, beginning with its concept, reality, derivatives, and divisions, then going back to the degrees of the patient and their differences between the patience of the honorable and the patience of the mean, and the reasons that help one to be patient, and then moves on to study patience in religious texts and the effects of the Companions and the righteous. It also conducts an in-depth study of the doctrinal rulings related to the subject of patience and discusses a number of related heresies and evils. It concludes by recalling the attribute of God Almighty (Patient), saying that if patience and gratitude were not virtues other than calling God Himself by them, that would be sufficient.

Patience and gratitude are both great tasks during which a person is exposed to trials. God has made clear its greatness, as it is a form of worship of the heart of faith in all conditions of a Muslim, whether in the presence of blessings or their absence. This book - The Tools of the Patient and the Relief of the Thankful - has come as comprehensive, containing and beneficial to those who fall short and those who complain.

- This is a great book, by God.. and no review will do it justice.. Ibn al-Qayyim went into it at length in talking about the meaning of patience and its divisions, and he mentioned what was mentioned about patience from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as well as the narrations reported from the Companions.. Then several chapters talk about patience and gratitude, comparing them, and demonstrating the difference between which. Better.. This is a book for those who have been in affliction.. and for those who have been blessed.. A book suitable for everyone.. Easy, soft and light.. I strongly recommend reading it.. May God forgive us for our shortcomings in reading these precious pearls.. And by God, they are the first thing that should be read. After the Qur’an and Sunnah
Ahmed Sakr

- It is not hidden from anyone the beauty of talking about patience and gratitude as two qualities in the believing soul that strengthen it and increase its reward, and here Ibn al-Qayyim in his book divides it thematically into three main axes, I think: patience, gratitude... as a definition of the meaning and its types, and narrating snippets of hadiths and stories of the people of patience and gratitude and their great virtue. And their reward, then it ends with a lengthy discussion of “Which is better, the patient poor or the grateful rich?” and in each there is good.
Bushra Omar

- The book talks about two important aspects in the life of a believer: patience and gratitude. Perhaps it devoted many chapters to talking about patience due to its importance, while explaining its types and virtues, as we mentioned examples of the world and how craving for it and too much of it leads to anxiety and abyss... He also mentioned the virtue of the thankful and discussed the difference between the poor and the poor. The patient, the rich, the thankful, in many details... He also spoke about true asceticism and its good effects in life... Then he concluded the book by talking about the attributes of God related to patience and gratitude.

- One of the best things written about patience and gratitude. Imam Ibn Qayyim’s style, may God have mercy on him, attracts you and his politeness in responding to disagreement gives you the morals of this great world. As for the content of the book, it presents two great qualities that are not combined in a servant except that God loves him. Patience and gratitude are among the chapters that impressed me. The chapter on similes of the world and the chapter on comparison and preference between poverty and wealth. Praise be to God who blessed us with reading it, and I may return to it many times for the sweetness of its chapters and the style of its writer.
Tayeb Merabti

- One of the books that softens the heart and raises the spirits in seeking the afterlife and abandoning this world. In it, the author, may God have mercy on him, begins by mentioning the meaning of patience linguistically and idiomatically, and explaining its names, divisions, and degrees, as well as the specific reasons for it, then moving on to mention what was mentioned in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the traces of the Companions and those who followed them who talked about patience. And his virtues.
After this comes a mention of the dispute between people about the virtuous and the virtuous, between patience and gratitude, and between the grateful rich and the patient poor, with a mention of what the two groups argued. The book ends by mentioning that the attributes of patience and gratitude are included among the attributes of the Lord Almighty.
