Easter is the main festival of Christianity. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, which, according to the Christian denominations, took place on the third day after they were buried on the cross, as the Gospels say.
The Easter date, which varies from year to year depending on the lunar cycle, falls on the Sunday after the first full moon of spring and also ends the frequency of other celebrations and liturgical times such as Lent and Pentecost. :)
