NDI® (Network Device Interface) is a low latency IP video protocol developed especially for professional live video production, and is supported by an extensive list of broadcast systems from many manufacturers.
CaptureCast® Camera turns your Android imaging devices into high-quality wireless a/v sources for CaptureCast® systems and NDI enabled software on the same network. Your device’s output is automatically recognized by CaptureCast®, ready to be recorded and streamed.
* Note: Requires support for NDI v.5 or better.

no instruction on how to use templates, I use the desktop app fine but phone is garbage.

NDI Tools (and OBS via the plugin) complain that the video feed is not a part of a CaptureCast Template. But audio comes through fine. Seems like it's probably some unnecessary red tape to make you use CaptureCast or something.

This is the Free Trail version of the software, it will not talk to NewTek & OBS without a Template. To get that Template just pay $19.99 for the Licensed version of the software.
