I love castlevania sotn, and I have played more metroidvanias I care to admit. So trust me when I say this is not a good one. This is a bad port. The game is ridden with bad technical issues like framerate skips, input delay, and other nuisances like dialogues not showing, even on a flagship phone. What's worse is that even tho the performance is bad, the game not pretty to look at either, as the models, lighting, scenery, all look bad. Stay away.

A metroidvania wherever you go is a dream come true, but unfortunately it's got some issues. The main one being the controls. The touch controls become completely unresponsive at times and there are also many user interface bugs - there are times where an item or shard drops and there is usually an on screen prompt telling you what you get, but it often doesn't show up, which makes farming materials a pain. Keeping it at 3 because there is still a big game here, but with a terrible UI.

A long-lasting metroidvania with plentiful replayability and grinding, the closest thing to Aria/Dawn of Sorrow if you want more of this gameplay style. Main game can now be completed 100% with all 45 achievements since the infamous Oriental Lab bug was finally fixed. Doesn't contain as many DLCs as the console version. Gamepad HIGHLY recommended: touchscreen controls might get frustrating due to precise platforming and dodging.
