Almost all human beings pray to God when faced with an immense need. Whether they are Christians, agnostics, atheists, men, women or children, they will seek God's help if they are in serious trouble. For many people, prayer is the last resort. They only care when they are desperate. They are not sure who they are talking to. They do not really know how much they can expect. If their need persists it is the "proof" that there is no God. If their need is filled, God is forgotten until the next emergency. For Christians, this should be exactly the opposite. Lapriere should be as natural and instinctive as breath. However, it should not be limited to asking God to respond to needs, it should also be the expression of an intimate relationship with God.
