The Golden Sutra

It is also called the Geumgang Banya Paramil Sutra and the Geum River Half Night Sutra. Set in the son-in-law of India as the background, this is a sutra preached for the disciple Subhuti. Do not cling to one place and do not give in to one's heart, and do not dwell on it. Do not look at the Buddha as a form but respect it as the truth. All appearances are formless. He said he would see the Tathagata. This sutra is the same as the Neungdan Geumgangbun (能斷金剛分) of Volume 577 of the 600 volumes of the Great Ban Night Sutra translated by Hyeonjang (玄奘). It is a scientific opinion. This fact can also be seen from the fact that many other translations have been published since the commentary was written early in India by Mu Chak and Se-chin, and a translation was published in China by Kumarajip 鳩摩羅什.

The original Sanskrit text of this sutra is still extant, and there is a Seojang translation in addition to six Korean translations. In addition, there are about 800 commentaries on this sutra in India, China, Korea and Tibet. This is because this 『Geumgangsutra』 is easy to read in an appropriate amount and reveals the deep essence of Mahayana Buddhism.
