Mülki Məcəllə

Civil Code (Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan) is the main legislative act that regulates all types of civil relations in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The purpose of this Code is to ensure the freedom of civil circulation on the basis of the equality of its participants, without prejudice to the rights of third parties. The duties of this Code are as follows:
1. to regulate property and personal non-property relations of civil law subjects;
2. to defend the rights and legal interests of civil law subjects;
3. to protect the honor, dignity, business reputation of natural persons, the right to protection of personal and family life, personal integrity;
4. to ensure civil circulation;
5. to support entrepreneurial activity;
6. to create conditions for the development of the free market economy.
