Kitab Tafsir Al-Quran

Tafsir Al-Qur'an is the science of understanding and interpreting the verses in question, and its contents function as mubayyin (explanator), explaining the meaning and content of the Koran, especially regarding verses that are not understood and whose meaning is unclear.

The science of the Qur'an and Tafsir is a discipline of religious knowledge that is epistemologically different from other Islamic sciences.

Understanding the science of the Koran and Tafsir in depth requires specialization which provides more freedom in deepening and developing studies.

Tafsir is taken from the word fassara – yupassiru – tafsiran which means information, explanation or description. In terms of terms, tafsir means explaining the meaning of the verses of the Qur'an, the circumstances of the story and the reasons for the revelation of the verses with pronunciations that show the meaning of zahir.

The main aim of studying Tafsir is to understand the meanings of the Koran, its laws, wisdom, moral teachings, and instructions for achieving happiness in life in this world and the afterlife.
