About this game

This game was developed by real-world air traffic controllers! It's designed to be fun and highly realistic.

Be an air traffic controller at Los Angeles International Airport, Boston Logan, LaGuardia, Toronto Island, Vancouver Harbour float plane base, Jamaica, and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan. Airport Madness 3D also includes a forest fire fighting operation at Castlegar.

There is a choice of four different view perspectives: tower view, runway view, sky view, and pilot view. In this version, we include two radar screens: one for airborne traffic and one for ground traffic.

Aircraft flight characteristics are highly realistic. Aircraft actually raise their nose during the takeoff rotation and during the landing flare, just like they do in real life. Part of what makes Airport Madness fun is the high speed at which things happen. In real life, things happen much slower.

For seven years, we've been telling game players that Airport Madness is a game, not a simulation. While Airport Madness 3D offers a decent level of realism, we are mainly trying to make this game fun. We are using real earth data for mountains and surrounding landscape, as seen in the images, but our airports were built by us from scratch.

We've worked hard to compare our game to that of 3D simulations that are currently for sale elsewhere, and what we feel everybody wants is a game that's easy to play, is lots of fun, and highly addictive.

It's an overall fun game but has a couple things I'd like to see fixed. First is the traffic rate. Even on the lowest setting the traffic rate can get a little hectic. Second is the ability to purchase new airports. I bought LAX with no problems but since then whenever I try to buy a new airport it won't load anything when I tap the purchase button.

This is a super good game! It's prerty accurate in terms of tge commands, however, I would change the speed of the aircraft, the size of the runway and the flow of traffic to a more realistic setting. The commands could also be more diverse, and the visuals of where the commands are could be improved, for example, instead of having the commands in the middle of the screen, you can switch to a monitor of dialogue selection menu, to choise the command. Other than these minor details, its great!

Decent game, but some super annoying/unrealistic things. You assign an airplane to a landing runway, and while you're dealing with other traffic it just decides on its own to land a different runway and mess everything up. I get it's a game, but traffic coming in out of nowhere on a short base is unrealistic too. It would be nice if you could assign 1 or 2 runways as landing runways like they do in real life. Also, emergencies that happen unexpectedly should catch my attention more
