Meh. Even though this app functions more reliably than the Amcrest View Pro (depending on what you're trying to accomplish), it's still iffy at best. A solid 40% of all saved video clips won't play for me so its close to 50/50 if I can review footage of things that happen around my house. Defeats the purpose of having security cameras, in my opinion. After trialing various Lorex and Amcrest products for years am 100% going to ditch these products for something like Ring.

Nonfunctional on Pixel 8. Scanned QR code for camera. Selected Wi-Fi setup. App attempts to connect to the hotspot, but is unable to switch the phone's WiFi network to the camera hotspot. When switching manually, the app keeps reporting that the camera has stopped broadcasting the hotspot and to retry. If I begin the process already connected to the camera hotspot, the scan will fail. The process keeps failing, I've scanned the camera and reset several times. I cannot proceed.

App works good with my Amcrest bullet camera I use to monitor my driveway and street activity. I currently use the 3-day plan for my needs. It keeps 3 current days of cloud storage for $1.99 a month. This is very affordable. They have plans for 7, 14 & 30 days but the rate per month increases with each plan. The benefits of no cool down and longer record limits are added with the 7 day or above plans.
